2007–2020 · OUR ROOTS
We Started With Combustion.
Before LAND, there was Cleveland CycleWerks. Founded in 2007, the company spent more than a decade designing and bringing combustion-powered motorcycles to riders around the world.
That experience shaped our understanding of what makes a great motorcycle. It taught us the importance of thoughtful design, practical engineering, and the unmistakable feeling that makes you want to ride.
By 2020, we began to see an opportunity to take everything we'd learned and apply it to something entirely new. The future of motorcycling didn't need to look like its past.
2020 · THE BEGINNING OF LAND
The Motorcycle, Reimagined.
After more than a decade of building combustion-powered motorcycles, we began exploring what the next generation of motorcycling could look like.
In 2020, LAND was born from a simple idea: create an electric motorcycle that was lightweight, intuitive, and exciting enough to become part of everyday life. We moved quickly from concept to development, building our first working prototype and laying the foundation for what would become the LAND District.
The technology was different, but our passion for motorcycles remained exactly the same.
2021 · ENGINEERING THE DISTRICT
From Prototype to Possibility.
By 2021, our early concept had evolved into a series of increasingly refined prototypes. We spent the year putting the District through serious testing, improving its performance, refining its design, and learning what it would take to build a truly practical electric motorcycle.
At the same time, we were developing our CORE battery platform, a removable energy system designed to make charging and everyday ownership more convenient. These early breakthroughs helped define the District's unique character and established the foundation for future development.
2022–2024 · BUILT IN CLEVELAND
Turning Vision Into Reality.
In 2022, we transformed our Cleveland production facility to prepare for the next chapter. With years of development behind us, we began bringing the District to our earliest customers, turning a promising prototype into a production electric motorcycle.
By 2023, orders were growing, our manufacturing processes were evolving, and we were building the inventory needed to support larger-scale production.
In 2024, fleets of LAND District motorcycles began shipping to riders. What started as an idea in our Cleveland workshop was becoming something much bigger: motorcycles out in the world, accumulating miles and proving what electric riding could be.
2025–2027 · ALWAYS EVOLVING
Never Standing Still.
By 2025, we had found our rhythm. Years of manufacturing experience, customer feedback, and continual refinement had shaped the District into the motorcycle we'd always envisioned. We introduced the limited-edition Super District while quietly continuing development of our most ambitious project yet.
In 2026, that work took shape as the District ADV, our most capable District yet. Built to push the platform farther, the ADV represented another step forward in performance, versatility, and design.
And the development never stops. Advancements including our new Enduro EVO IPM motor, regenerative braking, updated displays, and refined performance tuning are helping shape the next generation of District motorcycles for 2027.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
Never Just Get There.
We believe the best part of riding isn't always the destination. It's everything that happens along the way. LAND was created to make the motorcycle experience simpler, more accessible, and more exciting. Less time worrying about the machine. More time enjoying the freedom of the ride.
